About Slice

SLICE was born in New York City in the fall of 2005, seeking to evolve the current pizza eating experience using fresh, local, seasonal ingredients and deliciously innovative and internationally inspired toppings. Slice’s founder, Miki Agrawal, and her identical twin sister Radha, are half Japanese, half Indian, born and raised in Montreal, schooled in New York and represent the international heartbeat that makes up New York City and the food reflects this.

Slice prides itself on building a community atmosphere in its neighborhoods with pizza & movie nights, pizza making classes and a family-friendly environment. Slice is the perfect combination of fun, healthy, sustainable, delicious and it’s the quintessential New York food that brings people together.

Name: Miki Agrawal

Where From: Born and raised in Montreal. Half-Japanese, half-Indian by origin. Identical twin. Irish triplet.

Favorite Hobbies: Playing soccer, traveling, watching movies, building neat things.

Favorite Superhero and Why: The Super Sprowtz (www.supersprowtz.com). They make me hungry for veggies.

Favorite Foods: Artisan pizza (of course), curry, sushi, a great hearty salad.

Quick Backstory: My backstory is a sad one. I strained my back as young man and it's been bothering me ever since. But, that's just my lower back. My upper back is totally fine.

Name: Russ Schubert

Where From: New York, New York

Favorite Hobbies: Photography, snowboarding, writing, gym, traveling.

Favorite Superhero and Why: The Flash because I'm fast, athletic, funny and hard to keep up with.

Favorite Foods: LOVE pizza and mexican food, but really anything healthy/organic.

Quick Backstory: I was born and raised here in NY, but for the past 5 years I lived in Washington DC where I went to school for art and journalism. Im a photographer, artist, journalist, soccer playing snowboarder with a comb over and tattoos.

About Cedric

Name: Cedric Sparkman

Where From: Hazard, Kentucky

Favorite Hobbies: Singing, playing guitar, brewing beer.

Favorite Superhero and Why: Superman. In 1938 he was the first, and still had a lot of grit. As Clark Kent he showed the human frailties to which we could relate, as Superman he showed the strength to which we aspire.

Favorite Foods: Pizza, bánh mì, döner kebab, schweinshaxe, flammkuchen.

Quick Backstory: I am passionate about good food and drink. I've been hooked since my grandfather first served me biscuits and gravy as a child.

About Tiffany

Name: Tiffany Wang

Where From: Born in NJ, moved to PA, and now rounding out the tri-state area. Taiwanese-American and proud.

Favorite Hobbies: Music, pit orchestra, mixology, ribbon origami, trying new recipes and crafts.

Favorite Superhero and Why: Currently, Sherlock, as portrayed by Benedict Cumberbatch—although he would beg to differ: "Don't make people into heroes, John. Heroes don't exist. And if they did, I wouldn't be one of them."

Favorite Foods: Food and fruit from Taiwan—to die for, Japanese (sushi), mom's curry.

Quick Backstory: I temporarily returned to NJ, spending these past 4 years at Rutgers University studying Food Science and graduating salutatorian from Cook College. I'm a musician and a dabbler in the arts with a proclivity and enthusiasm for math, science, and data-crunching.
